Not usually my era of modelling but was tempted after recent discount promotion from already bargain price, so glad I did, very good runner and while not an expert of the class it appears very well detailed. Cannot comment on body removal difficulty, as yet to fit crew/sound decoder. Only issue was one full width front handrail had come off but easily glued on with well defined fixing holes.
Runs really good and looks great running behind a rake of coal wagons and at £99 exceptional value for money
This is my second Calss 31, the other one is from an earlier release, this one is better as it has the XL interface, so sound fitting is much easier.
Lovely loco and the livery application is spot on.
Great DMU very accurate and it took me back to watching them pass by my junior school and going in to Manchester with my parents as a child
Mechanically, the locomotive performs faultlessly and the paint finish is spot on. I am disappointed that the red taillights only work on DCC and as with all Heljan locomotives, I have to break the pipes off to fit the coupling.

Excellent model and performance really good straight from box. Very good price for a new loco which made me purchase it to add to my fleet of now 5 47s. This my first Heljan 47 gor a while. Have two 27s and a 26 bought prior to takeover

This is my third class 02, so I obviously like them…. I waited years for them to arrive and very nearly went for one of the DJH kits. This is streets ahead, especially with its modern DCC interface. All of mine are sound fitted, but an additional larger tablet speaker behind the front grille and a stay alive are essential extras. The only downside is the weak directional lighting. Recommended.
Absolute bargain. Just got to add filth, decent coal load and a DCC chip now.
