D50 The King’s Shropshire Light Infantry (BR SYP Economy Blue)
Continuing the transition from BR Green to BR’s Corporate Image, D50 carries the distinctive early Rail Blue livery with small yellow warning panels applied to a limited number of Class 45s during the mid-1960s. While the main body colour had changed to blue, many details from the green era remained, creating a fascinating hybrid appearance that was relatively short-lived.
Ideal for the second half of the 1960s, D50 works equally well alongside late BR Green and early BR Blue stock. During the period represented, it was based at Toton and worked a wide variety of traffic, from premier passenger services to freight and mineral trains.
Named in May 1965 after the British Army regiment of the same name, D50 was one of 26 military-named Class 45s.

Highly detailed model train with excellent running performance straight out of the box. Customers said it offers "great value" and praised the accurate livery application. One customer noted "ran perfectly" while another mentioned minor detail issues. Packaging quality raised concerns with one report of minor damage during shipping.
The loco is fine except for a very minor issue - a broken/partially missing lamp iron! I struggled a little with the chat and requested a replacement part that I could fit rather than have to send the loco back wasting time and money. This is being actioned by Simon who is arranging for the part to be posted to me. The loco itself runs very well and a real bargain at the current price. 100% recommended.
lovely model. Ran slow for a couple of minutes but after a short break ran perfectly...even bought a second variant. Thank you Heljan,
Great model
Nice runner
Absolutely woeful packaging leading to minor damage
Very nice model, I had been looking to do D50 in blue and your model has saved me a job
Looks great, runs well and is very good value.
Well detailed and featured. A very good runner.
Ran perfectly straight out of the box,a brilliant model of the class 45,and what a unbelievable bargin price, very happy with my purchase.
Excellent model at a very good price
Great runner, spot on livery application. Minor detail issues but looks like a peak to me-and I saw them on a daily basis back in my spotting days(1970-75)! Great value for money at the new price.
