Excellent model at a great price. Unfortunately I ordered 2 with the same running number 😤. Great additions to make up a small rake.
Postage and packing was excellent.
Just the right level of detail, smooth running and typical of Heljan quality.
Superb accurately designed product available at an affordable price at last.
A great, well detailed tank. Runs beautifully and looks ace in my rake of ten.
Although the shape is slightly incorrect this does not bother me as the build quality is excellent and the loco runs perfectly with good sound effects. I would have preferred the detail not to be fitted one end as I had to remove it to fit the coupling. Good value at less than £200
Extremely good model and detail, loved the sprung suspension. Very good value for money
Good loco for the price. Runs smoothly, decent weight, looks good.
Good Model. Cosmetically good and a nice smooth runner. I’ve fitted a HM700 decoder in it
I have bought 20 of these pca tanks so far. They are brilliantly modelled. I have had many of them weathered and renumbered as I am trying to build a cement works loosely based on Hope works in Derbyshire. I’m so glad that you guys produce such great models. I will always recommend Heljan as the best ready to run rolling stock. I really hope accurascale continues with the legacy you guys have made. Paul.
Great looking wagon, still to be weathered when I do a layout for them, plenty of detail on them and were at a bargain price.
This is a very nice coach with an extremely good finish. Runs well over various track formations. The price is right for the model. Fully recommended.
The Heljan Class 47 delivers far higher build quality and packaging standards than Hornby Railroad at essentially the same price, making it outstanding value. It isn’t perfect — not every wheel is powered or picking up — but the overall experience more than compensates. The model is big, heavy, smooth‑running and free of traction tyres, which gives it a far more refined feel.
A lot of online criticism feels like nit‑picking for the sake of it. In practice, it looks like a Class 47, has the presence you expect, and the dimensional precision is good enough that any tiny deviations are hard to spot unless you’re actively hunting for them. For anyone who prioritises running qualities, weight, and overall robustness, this is a genuinely impressive model that punches well above its price point.

This is my third class 104 DMU so can confirm these are a good model, especially at the new ‘Accurascaled’ prices! They are a detailed and well finished model that run extremely well. My only adverse comment would be the attachment of the destination boxes with short thin wires that break if accidentally pulled when removing the body to fit a decoder! Not able to change the destination either which is a shame. This does however not detract from these excellent models which bring back many memories of past journeys to Blackpool, and indeed Fleetwood (a very long time ago)! It is fantastic that Accurascale have taken over Heljan as their attention to detail far exceeds the old Heljan and will no doubt result in even better models in the future with silly design errors being a thing of the past.
Great loco that looks good and runs well on my layout. Will definitely buy another Heljan Class 47 in the future.
I really like this loco and think the price of £99 is worth it. I will definitely buy others in the future if the price remains the same
I have no issue with this loco and I think it looks quite good. I personally would recommend it especially now the price is around £99.
Great model, unfortunately my first one had a motor problem but thanks to great customer service it was replaced straight away. Could not thank them enough for a quick response.
A really good price for a quality product. Very impressed with the packaging too.
Real value for money now so glad accurascalehave added you superb service
Very well packaged runs really well tempted me into another
